The Real Game partnership in New Zealand is led by Careers New Zealand. The first edition of the New Zealand version of the Real Game was completed in November 2002. An updated second edition was released in 2007.
The New Zealand version of the Real Game is designed for students aged 13-15. It introduces them to the world of work and helps them to develop an understanding of the options and opportunities available to them and the implications and importance of their choices. In The Real Game students use role-play, group work and individual investigation to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes they will need to assess and make decisions about further education and training and career options.
